Growing up in Southeast Louisiana, I've been exploring the outdoors since I was a small child. I have a passion for the natural world and enjoy sharing my experiences with others. My goal is to create imagery that reflects the beauty of this planet. I edit images, but not to the point of of including things that weren't there, warping dimensions, or over developing colors.. I want to make a real interpretation of what I am seeing and bring the viewer into the scene with me. Hopefully through sharing imagery of the magnificent places that Ive been I can spark interest in others in the importance of protecting these places.
As a child growing up hunting and fishing in Louisiana, I was surrounded by the beauty of the swamp and marshlands since I was a baby. This love of the outdoors and the importance of the protection of the wetlands has stayed with me throughout my life. I began to experiment with cameras in high school as a bass player, taking pictures of travels and my fellow musicians on gigs. It was when I first brought my camera with me into nature that I realized what I actually like to take pictures of, the natural world, and more specifically the swamp and marshlands so dear to me here in Louisiana. I turned this love into a business called Wild Louisiana Tours, where myself and a small crew of passionate outdoors people take visitors from around the world into the swamp lands of Louisiana on a daily basis. We offer single day and multi day photography workshops into the swamplands as well. Our operation has been providing high quality experiences in the outdoors since 2011. We were one of the first photo workshops and kayak and canoe outfitters in the region and we strive to not only provide the most well designed outfitting experience but also the most valuable and informative.
